Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announces the arrest of a 39-year-old man wanted for murder. Lynwood Small — DOB: 4/5/80 — was arrested today, Wednesday, March 18, 20 at 7:30 a.m., at his home without incident by the Richland County Sheriff’s Fugitive Task Force.
Small is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He was transported to the Alvin S. Glen Detention Center.
On Feb. 27, 20, Deputies were dispatched to a call of shots fired on Carnegie Street at approximately 6 a.m. On their arrival at Carnegie Street, they found a woman who had been shot in the lower body. The investigation determined that the incident took place in the 2700 block of Brady Street, but the woman walked over to Carnegie Street seeking help. She died at the hospital as a result of her injuries.
