On April 12th, 2020 South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster issued another Executive Order 2020-23 which extends the State of Emergency until April 27th, 2020.  This order states that due to the continuing pandemic South Carolina will remain under the State of Emergency until April 27th, and that all previous Executive Orders will remain in effect for South Carolina or until the State of Emergency is lifted.

This new State of Emergency comes as several Legislators have petitioned Governor McMaster to remove restrictions from local businesses to aid the economy of South Carolina.  And the still pending actions of Attorney General Alan Wilson on the legality of local government officials pertaining to ordinances ordering Shelter in Place throughout the State.
